Docker throwing mooring lines to barge operators

Customers sit at the heart of the Lubmarine business and always have. Since our inception 70 years ago we have been creating and delivering innovative marine lubrication solutions designed to meet our customers’ needs. It’s an approach that still drives us forward today.

As part of our 70th anniversary we look at the importance that customer proximity plays.

“Customer centricity has to be built on customer proximity and knowledge. Many of our team have been seafarers, which gives us a unique knowledge and understanding of the industry,” says Arnaud Guichard, Lubmarine General Manager since 2021.

“Our focus is to listen to our customers, to hear their needs and to help them meet their challenges and show how we are supporting them in their moves towards decarbonization. The customer drives the way we do what we do at Lubmarine,” adds Arnaud.

From day one, back in 1952, the business identified the importance of developing, growing and retaining great relationships with its customers and recognized the importance of a global network to help support them.

We are, and always have been, far more than a manufacturer of performance marine lubricants. Trust and support, the sharing of technical knowledge along with flexibility, reactivity, accessibility and proactivity are deeply rooted values when it comes to our customer relationships.

Through an ever-evolving programme of investment and development, our people and our partners support our customers with an array of dedicated services today.

From our global sales and technical teams, based in 19 offices, through to our research and development centers in France and India, backed up by our global Global laboratory network located in Ertvelde, Singapore, Shanghai, Chicago and Panama City, we are geared to delivering excellence to our customers, everywhere.

Our team of Marine Lubricant Engineers provide further essential support to our customers on site, along with our Drain Oil Analysis services, onboard testing and analysis equipment, lubrication management strategies and ship engine inspections and trouble shooting, through to our Lubmarine Academy, training crews on the fundamentals of marine lubrication.

Through their business activities, our customers are continually moving around the globe 24/7 and we are dedicated to supporting them. It’s an industry that literally never stops moving, and it is a complex one.

As a result, our teams work hard to ensure we are there to meet the needs of our customers no matter where they are. Every person across the Lubmarine business plays a vital role in ensuring that we retain the close links with our customers that have become such a vital part of our business. In shipping, trust and reliability are essential.

As part of this approach, we are delighted to announce that we will be exhibiting at SMM, September 6-9, 2022 in Hamburg.
