How many liters does a drum contain?

A standard drum, commonly used for the transportation and storage of lubricants, has a nominal volume of 208 liters (55 US gallons, 46 imperial gallons). These drums measure 880 millimeters (35 inches) in height and have a diameter of 610 millimeters (24 inches). This capacity is widely utilized in the shipping and lubrication industries, including at Lubmarine, to ensure efficient storage and transport of marine lubricants.

At Lubmarine, we also have a historical standard 205L drum for certain products. However, it’s important to note that there are many exceptions depending on each factory’s filling settings. These variations can affect the exact volume and dimensions of the drums used, ensuring that we meet specific operational and logistical requirements.
