Rio Oil & Gas 2018 Review - Total Lubmarine

Total Lubricantes do Brasil joined more than 500 exhibitors in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last month for the 2018 Rio Oil and Gas event.

For the lubricants team in Brazil, a particular focus was to enhance the industry’s understanding of the businesses activity in the region and what makes Total Lubricantes do Brasil stand out from its competitors.

Speaking on this, Gabriel Landaeta, Marine Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean said:

“Of the 1000 ports in our network, 50 are in Brazil making the country an import strategic location. With this in mind, Rio Oil and Gas presented us with an excellent opportunity to engage with existing and prospective customers, while more generally presenting to those attending the exhibition what Total Lubmarine offers.

A particular focus for us was to promote the versatility of our lubricants and the strength of the technical services we provide within both the maritime industry and, more specifically to Brazil, the power plant ecosystem.”

In addition to the attendance of our colleagues in Brazil, Total Group President of Exploration and Production, Arnaud Breuillac, was present to discuss the relevance of the Brazilian subsalt to the company’s portfolio. Total became the first operator in the region this year upon acquiring the Lapa field.

“We expect to significantly increase the daily production of oil equivalent in Total’s assets in the Brazilian subsalt by 2022. We believe that ultra-deep exploration, whether in Brazil or other locations around the world, is extremely competitive” said Mr. Breuillac.

Total Lubricantes do Brasil partnered with the Exploration and Production team at the event, and it was a busy few days at the booth for both teams. With an estimated 34,200 people from 31 countries, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rio Oil & Gas continues to be the standout industry event in South America.
