With the power plant market an important sector for Total Lubmarine, the CARILEC Engineers Conference & Exhibition is a useful event to meet customers and make new contacts from the Caribbean and Latin American electricity market.

Taking place at Port of Spain in Trinidad this July, some of the best experts in the industry gathered to receive both technical training as well as meet service and product suppliers. They were joined by representatives from Total Lubmarine.

From a lubrication perspective, the power plant market in the region faces many challenges. There are many small territories, demand for product varies widely and the logistical environment can be challenging. However, Total Lubmarine supplies its innovative range of lubricants to power plants across the region, including the new Miraflores power plant in the Panama Canal.

Gabriel Landeata, Marine Manager Latin-America & Caribbean at Total Lubmarine, commented: “CARILEC18 was a great opportunity for operators to get in touch with Total Lubmarine which is ready to face the challenges of operating in small territories – meaning large demand variation and complex logistical environment. In our booth, we greatly received many prospects strongly interested in our high-end offer of products and services.”
