Louise Tricoire VP of Lubmarine speaking at Technical Seminar Athens

At the end of May, Lubmarine welcomed more than 70 of Greece’s leading shipping operators to Athens for its annual technical seminar.

A key moment in our calendar, the event once again provided an opportunity to reconnect with customers and share insights on a rapidly evolving market environment.

Louise Tricoire, VP Lubmarine, opened the session with an overview of current market dynamics, including the impact of ongoing geopolitical tensions on the industry. She also highlighted the growing role of alternative fuels such as LNG in shaping the future of shipping, while acknowledging the sustained pressure these tensions continue to place on component availability and costs across the value chain.

“Our teams remain fully mobilized to ensure continuity of supply for our customers around the world, while also adapting to the impact of ongoing tensions on the industry.”

On the technical front, Stuart Fuller, Market Liaison & Product Manager Marine, led discussions on fuel developments and their implications for lubrication strategies. His presentation also introduced Lubmarine’s latest advancements, sparking valuable exchanges with operators.

“As the industry evolves, diversifying fuel and lubrication strategies is essential to support performance, compliance, and operational resilience.”

Greece remains a key hub for global shipping, making this annual seminar an important opportunity for Lubmarine and TotalEnergies to engage directly with customers, strengthen partnerships, and continue moving forward together.
