A technician wearing PPE during an onboard lubricant analysis operation

Yesterday we celebrated World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Safety is one of our core value that underpins how we engage and work with all our customers and partners, across our global network and supply chain.

While activities onshore and offshore present a variety of risks, improved guidance and shared rules are vital to accident prevention. We believe most accidents can be prevented.

Our initiative to promote a safe use of on-board Tech’Care kits is one example of how we seek to improve operator safety. These kits help ship operators to assess and maintain their onboard engines by monitoring the condition of the lubricant in the engine. They are clever kits, but they also need to be operated with care. This is why we’ve taken a safety-first approach across all our materials improving product instructions, advice on operator instructions, training, dedicated call support, and guidance on safety protection as well as PPE.

Our #GoldenRules on #safetyatwork are based on feedback and real-life experiences, and which clearly set out what must and must not be done. All Total stakeholders — our own employees and contractors alike — apply them in their everyday work.
