Peony Tse, Asia-Pacific Senior Marketing Planner

Continuing the theme of International Women in Engineering, #ShapeTheWorld, we are proud to showcase women engineers who are helping to shape our business whilst making a major contribution to industry. As a Market Planner in the Asia Pacific region for Total Lubmarine, Peony Tse shares her insight on the lubricants business and on her role.

Peony first joined Total Lubricants Hong Kong in 2013 as Asia-Pacific Marketing Planner.

 

Q) What does your current role involve?

 

I am mainly responsible for organizing customer events, exhibitions, conferences, etc. as well as preparing all commercial contracts for the Asia-Pacific region. I also deal with academic sponsorships, advertising and marketing materials for the Asia-Pacific region.

 

Q) What is the appeal of Total for you?

 

Total is a well-known global company. It is important to feel proud of the company you work for, and I very much enjoy working at Total. It is a very international and dynamic company with a friendly atmosphere and lots of opportunities.

 

Q) What do you like most about your job?

 

I’m very glad as well as confident to be the bridge between Total and our customers and I like very much all the communications and interaction both internally and externally. Besides, witnessing the perfect blend of “East meets West” is just simply awesome.

 

Q) Any message for your colleagues?

 

I would like to thank all the colleagues I work with for their support and also look forward to getting to know every one of you!

 

Q) Away from Total how do you relax?

 

I work out, do yoga and Netflix, and basically anything that is fun and involves sunshine and vitamin ‘SEA’. Also, a bit of good food and wine of course!

 

Q) What is your main character trait?

 

I’m an outgoing and curious person, and I like meeting people from different walks of life. Traveling is one of my favorite ways to explore.

 

Q) Tell us something about yourself that may surprise your colleagues!

 

I successfully completed 3 marathons and hopefully I can do more in the future.

Q) Where was your favorite trip?

 

I remember my trip through Tasmania in a motor home was quite a memorable experience.

To be able to travel back in time and to the future freely.

Q) Note to 2020

 

2020 is definitely a year for all of us to remember. Despite all the challenges, we are doing surprisingly well and very busy this year. Bring it on everyone, we can only be better and stronger!
