Total Lubmarine is delighted to be sponsoring Hydro Win’d, the sailing team of ENSM Saint-Malo Campus. The aim of Hydro Win’d is to introduce students to the world of sailing, and make the sailing experience available to as many ENSM students as possible. This year the team, which comprises of five members and five substitutes, already has a number of regattas lined up.
Over the winter season, Hydro Win’d has been working very hard to make vital improvements to its sailing boat. Each member of the team was allocated a task, although in the end it all came down to team work. The Total Lubmarine logos are now proudly displayed on the hull along with new antifouling paint which will improve the overall performance and speed. The deck has now been refurbished, following an issue with one of the winches: this was quite a task considering the weather conditions. The electrical system on board has been completely rewired and the boat has been improved with a new engine.
The final task took place on 26 January, when the boat was suspended three meters above the BG shipyard in order to apply the new non-slip paint to the deck.
With the repair works complete, the boat is now back in the water and ready for the first regatta. We wish the team all the very best.
