We are pleased to announce that Lubmarine has continued its sailing sponsorship agreement with Scugnizza for the 2023 yacht racing season.

The sponsorship renewal marks the commitment in a long-lasting partnership.

Serge Dal Farra, Marketing Manager at Lubmarine said: “Our support of Scugnizza stems from our company’s passion for team working, marine activities and sport, in this case with sailing. We want to stay true to our sponsorship mission of bringing people together and encouraging teamwork through the power of sport, and what better way to do that than sponsor Scugnizza in their sailing competitions this season.”

During the past year Scugnizza has participated in four international yacht racing events and five nationals, achieving a number of successful podium finishes including:

- Silver at the World championship at Porto Cervo

- Gold at the Copa del Rey at Palma de Mallorca

- Gold at the Rolex Tre Golfi at Naples

- Silver at the Mediterranean championships at Sorrento

- Silver at the International Trophy Punta Stendardo Gaeta

Scugnizza is currently under final preparation at a dedicated shipyard ahead of a demanding race season.

“At the end of February we will have two national trophies in the Gulf of Naples. Then Scugnizza and our race team will move to Malta where we will participate in the European championship at the end of April,” says Enzo de Blasio, Skipper of Scugnizza.

“In mid-May we will be back in the Gulf of Naples where in Sorrento there will be the international Rolex Tre Golfi and Sorrento sailing week. From the end of June to the beginning of July we will participate in the Italian championship in Marina di Carrara and then in Porto Rotondo for the International Italia Yachts Cup. At the end of July, the Scugnizza team will head towards Palma de Mallorca where we will be defending The King's Cup which we won last year. It promises to be an exciting and busy season which will culminate with the final race in Sicily in Capo San Vito with the Italian cup.

While a tough schedule and demanding race conditions on the water are anticipated, the crew have been training hard during the off-season period and can’t wait to get onboard eager to be first over the start-line for the beginning of a very exciting race season.

“Lubmarine is considered a world leader in the development of marine engine and equipment lubricants as well as services. On behalf of the crew and everyone connected with our sailing yacht Scugnizza, we want to thank the Lubmarine team for their support and belief in us as well as the sport of sailing,” says de Blasio.

This sponsorship meets the Company values that focus on Safety, Respect for Each Other, Standing Together, Performance Minded and Pioneering Spirit. This is why Lubmarine sponsors Scugnizza and other initiatives around the world

All the team at Lubmarine wish Enzo and the Scugnizza crew a safe, exciting and rewarding 2023 season.
