Ambitions are high for Lubmarine’s sponsored racing yacht – Scugnizza – as she prepares for the first race of a Covid-19 affected season of international Regatta’s.
The yacht is currently in dock in Italy for fine-tuning before the crew begins race training towards the end of July. She will then sail to Gaeta in Lazio ready for the start of the Italian Championships where 80 boats will be competing from August 22nd. Lubmarine’s sponsorship of the Scugnizza racing team is an established and highly successful one with the team winning two World Championships in Ancona and Finland, a European Championship in Greece and an Italian Championship in Punta Ala.
A brand new Scugnizza was built and launched in Venice just before the start of the 2019 racing season. And despite little preparation time, the team secured the Italian Championship in Crotone in addition to the Coppa Italia in Porto Ercole.
“We are delighted to be continuing our sponsorship of highly successful Scugnizza and its team,” said Lubmarine Marketing Director Serge Del Farra, “The team has, along with the yacht, performed brilliantly in what are highly competitive, international fields. To have secured multiple world and international titles is testament to their skills and expertise,” he added.
Scugnizza’s Skipper Enzo De Blasio welcomed the renewed support from Lubmarine. “It has been a pleasure to work with the Lubmarine team over recent years. With their support, Scugnizza has been able to build a winning status and reputation for both its competitiveness and success,” said Enzo.
