Welcoming you to The Motorship Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference 2021, 2 to 4 November 2021, in Hamburg, Germany.

We are delighted to be sponsoring and participating in The Motorship Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference 2021, rescheduled for 2 to 4 November 2021, in Hamburg, Germany.

Serge Dal Farra, Global Marketing Manager of Total Lubmarine, will be presenting in-person at the event. We hope this event will be the dawn of a new era for industry exhibitions across the world as we hope to begin transitioning out of the COVID travel restrictions which have become such a familiar part of our lives during the last year. The physical attendance at this event is warmly welcomed, and it will be great to once again meet and speak with our familiar shipping industry community, talk on new business opportunities, as well as spark debate across industry with our contribution on the future of the lubrication landscape.

During the event we will focus on why the development of low sulfur fuels through the introduction of IMO2020 has been the most significant change to the way in which the global fleet has been powered since the introduction of the diesel engines in the maritime industry a little over 100 years ago. As we journey through the second year of IMO2020, how can we take the learnings from the new regulation enforcement and use it to create further efficiencies, improvements and benefits?

Whilst the use of low sulfur fuels has clear benefits on emissions reductions, what has been proven is that challenges around fuel quality have brought with them real issues for modern marine engines, including concerns about cleanliness.

Rising to this challenge requires an understanding of the multiple operating parameters of the engine, combined with smart engine monitoring and drain oil analysis and interpretation.

This event session will highlight the benefits associated with engine cleanliness, and why it is important to choose the right cylinder lubricant combined with a robust monitoring strategy.

Serge introduces the concept of single oil and fuel flexibility with case studies featuring the OEM fully requalified and proven premium cylinder single oil solution, TALUSIA UNIVERSAL, including in Dual-Fuel mode.

Serge will also talk through why choosing the right monitoring program can better help protect a ship’s engine, optimize feed rates and better control OPEX.

The attendance at this year’s event showcases why Total Lubmarine and the Total Group are actively working towards meeting low emission targets. The company continues to invest in the development and delivery of performance products supported by a global infrastructure network to achieve the Group’s ambition is to get to net-zero emissions by 2050 for its global business.

Serving the Marine sector since 1952, today Total Lubmarine delivers a wide range of pioneering and market leading marine engine oils and greases, used across the full spectrum of the marine industry by many thousands of vessels around the world operating under the most severe conditions.

Serge and the Total Lubmarine team look forward to seeing you in November and hope their presence at The Motorship Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference 2021 gives this year’s delegates further insight on adapting to life in the post IMO2020 landscape.
