Nothing beats face to face contact with customers and Total Lubmarine regularly engages with ship operators around the world at community meetings and tradeshows.
The recent launch of Talusia Optima, the latest in Total’s innovative cylinder oil range, has kept the Total Lubmarine team busy and on the road over the past six months. Shipping community meetings have been held in Dubai, Athens, New York and Luoyang with further events planned in London and Hamburg in early 2017. The Dubai event took place at the Marriot, Al Jaddaf. Keynote speakers were Jean Philippe Roman, global technical director and Serge Dal Farra, global marketing manager at Lubmarine. David Pivetta, commercial director, southern Europe, Africa, Middle East & India was present at the event along with local Lubmarine team members. Attendees at all the meetings have heard how the newly introduced Talusia Optima cylinder oil which can be used with fuels ranging in sulphur content from between 0 to 3.5%. Using this cylinder oil eliminates the need to carry multiple lubes onboard vessels, and means that vessels entering and exiting ECA zones do not have to change cylinder oil when switching fuel.
The meetings have so far proved to be a successful platform for knowledge sharing and clarifying customer queries. Total Lubmarine has always been at the forefront of technological innovation in the shipping industry and the explanation of new product Talusia Optima was well received by customers attending. Earlier in the month, Total Lubmarine exhibited at Seatrade Maritime Middle East (SMME) at Dubai World Trade Center, a major regional tradeshow for the shipping industry. The tradeshow was an excellent opportunity to liaise with customers from the Middle East and Indian subcontinent and inform them about the benefits and advantages of Talusia Optima.
Total Lubmarine was one of only two oil companies with a direct presence at the tradeshow which attracted more than 7,500 participants from around the world.
