Total Lubmarine hosted a stand at the Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) Shipping 2018 event, a yearly occurrence that has gained a reputation as the premier shipping gathering in North America and must-attend event on the business calendar.

With a dynamic and topical seminar program, combined with cutting edge exhibits and an enormous range of networking opportunities – CMA Shipping attracts over 2,400 major domestic and international industry players each year. The event culminates in the Commodore Gala Dinner, where an individual, selected by the CMA Board, is presented with the CMA Commodore Award in recognition of outstanding contribution to the maritime industry.

For Total Lubmarine, this was an invaluable opportunity to engage with all of its local customers, including Eagle Bulk, Diamond S, APEX Bulk, Liberty Maritime, Gener8, Colonial Navigation and Delta Navigation. It was also a good chance for the North American team to interact with potential new prospects and the wider shipping community as a whole – showcasing its innovative range of products and services.

On top of an exhibition stand, Jean-Philippe Roman, Technical Director also represented Total Lubmarine through an insightful morning presentation in the renowned Oak Charter Room, highlighting the global lubricant supplier’s vision for 2018 – as well as its solutions for 2020.

“CMA is always a great chance for us to show that we are more than just a supplier of quality marine lubricants and services; we are a ship owner, operator and charterer, too. This means that we truly understand the challenges faced by our customers. CMA Shipping 2018 allowed us to continue the conversation on the 2020 IMO Sulphur cap – showing our customers that we can help them prepare for change through our products, services and industry insights,” said Michael Trapani, Marine Manager, North America.

With a strong presence in their New Jersey office, Total Lubmarine remains dedicated to helping their North American customers overcome the challenges brought on by a changing market.
